anyhoo, channel5 was showing camp rock just now. think its a really inspiring show!! XD it kinda "rekindles" the music spirit in me lol. and i love the songs from the show! esp the lyrics from "this is me". very meaningful song~ i cld "feel" it from tv speakers like wth! hahaha. wooo i wonder if all disney channel shows are like this.. *think high sch musical* hahah ok fine maybe HSM isnt inspiring in that sense, but u cant deny tt zac efron and vanessa hudgens make the whole thing so much nicer (at least for me!) :P

work was quite slack this noon so its.. quite gd :P well its been ok all through the week actually. maybe a little busy on fri nite but still in the manageable and not the omg-STRESS!! kinda level. gooooood :) haha. happy to hear some "secret" gd comments from the manager too! lol. hope everything'll get better :)

we celebrated yiting's bday during lunch on sat too! it was nice to meet up with the few long-time-no-see section mates and alumni :) i totally miss having the whole section tgt u know?? last time we used to occupy like a significant portion of the woodwind section but now der're only 5 of us :( even mass sending an sms doesnt feel like a mass-send anymore cos der're only so few ppl to fwd it to :((( yes yes we shld have kbox outing again soon!!! XD wahahaha.

oh and, i finally got to try BASS FLUTE!!!!!!!

after 8 years of playing and 20 years of my life, i finally tried bass flute!! XD only saw it once (and i only rmbr it vaguely) in sec sch when my tutor brought it, but now i get to play it! so exciting can!! hahahaha. can u imagine our classic expression of O.O when we realised tt what tung hoe brought on sat was a bass flute?? lols. so nice of him to let us have a try at it! :) seriously, the 1st note i produced STUNNED us hahah. its like so.... bass-y LOL. *yeah i know i really sound like i've NEVER played flute before. but eh i swear its the same excited feeling as when i 1st tried playing flute ok!! haha* and now, i really salute ppl who play bass flutes, cos its SO DIFFICULT. the thing is so friggin heavy (im sure it fits jarvis PERFECTLY, as does macdonald's upsized milo cup. now u can upsize ur flute too! ;)), its hard to even support with ur right hand, and its difficult to pitch the notes properly! X( oh mann. tung hoe's a god mann lol. but nvtheless, it was great cos i finally tried bass flute! :D ok 1 down, 2 more to go. alto and contra-bass, come to me!!! :P

one reason i've always looked fwd to trying bass flute myslf was also cos of DAI's fukai mori! yeahh tt "sound" u hear in tt song is a bass flute's :)) so cool rite!!!! hahaahah. but ok lah judging from the pathetic tone i produced on sat, i dun think i'll ever make a sound as nice as tt in the song lol. but still, YAY BASS FLUTE ROCKS!!!! XD

jobless me finally found a job! :D

after one big round, i still ended up with doing part-time waitressing. i suppose its one of the few more flexible (and *reliable*) jobs i can find tt'll fit my busy schedule for now bah.. but anws, im glad i finally got a job :)) woots!

1st day of work ytd, and i'll say it was quite ok. the hrs passed real quick so it seemed like i hadnt been working for too long. which is gd! :D haha. colleagues are quite fun and nice to work with too, and the place isnt very big so its not like i haf 30+ tables to rmbr =x yep all's gd i guess! :) hopefully tmr'll be gd too!

and 1st day of listerine promotion today at maxwell. haha once again, seeing lotsa singaporean-singaporeans~ but i thk i reli like promoting stuff, even if its bo liao things lol :P hours are short, it isnt stressful, and the pay's not bad! :D

ok i thk im just feeling happy today hahaha.

was actually quite tired from listerine just now. thk its cos i too long nv work den sudd work last nite and this morning again, plus the full meal i had for lunch... cfm slpy. lols. slpt and overslept, missed section dinner, headed to band prac straight with only a waffle in my stomach, and tahan-ed the hunger til after band, where dear met up with me specially for supper and to send me home! :D meeting him after so long is like such a nice end to my long, tiring day. love works wonders mann~~ hahahaha ok enuff of this :P

wii tmr at simin's hse! woohoo i hope we'll play guitar hero :P havent seen her and woeilin for quite some time... and yeah i agree we're really meeting up more often than last year. which is a gd thing! :D lets keep it up ;)

and interview tmr at holland v. i hope it'll give me a positive result cos im reli losing hope~~~ haha. reli hard to find part-time job nowadays :(

it was horrible waiting for the page to load (very very slowly btw) and anticipating the grades tt'll be shown on the screen. worst still, to find out tt my gpa hasnt been updated yet so i'll hafta wait til 9am, for which i've just checked...

asian psy was the worse outta the 3, as expected haha. but okayy at least i got average for tt rite?? not a bad pass i suppose... seeing the 'S' grade for shakuhachi makes me feel "regretful" all over again though. :( haix. ohwells its over anw. and it is true tt der's the possibility i dont do well for tt if i didnt s/u, right? :]

am happy with biopsy and recording modules :) i shall just take more music modules to pull my grades up mann hahaha :P ok. so my gpa this sem is... actually the best i've gotten so far, out of the 4 sems. but becos i slacked too much in year 1 sem 2 and scored a bad gpa, my overall gpa is still =/ ok. i'll work hard :)

results aside, i've been otaku-ed for these 2 days, chionging gossip girl episodes, finished the season 1 dvds and have moved on to season 2 :D call me crazy but, its really addictive!! XD lols. but of cos, i'd much rather have work to do so i wont stay at home sit down watch show and eat.. will fat one leh >=(

speaking of which, met up with sai sai, jane, jun and jarvis for dinner ytd! :D haha the supposed xcjjjjp become xjjjp oni. but anw, headed to this place tts "near" commonwealth mrt (lolll), and the butter pork ribs was really nice! :D yes its PORK, jarvis, not chicken. (he was telling me on msn "the milk powder chicken very nice!" lols) the drunken prawns nid to be more drunk though.. i suspect the proportion of XO-wine (is it XO wine??) to dang gui was like 1:10 lohh cos like reli no alcohol taste >=( cheat our moneyyy. lols. we shall go to no signboard for drunken prawns next time!! rainy weather and a perfect day for lazy xinyi to slack at home, stay der, and waste the hours away doing absolutely nth meaningful. :) the laziness and sleepiness won me over, so i cancelled out on someone..... :( so sorry!!!! X( stupid rainn.

its been quite a week once again! din even realise i hadnt blogged for so long =/

well, band resumed on wed, starting with a lol dinner with my "long-lost" section mates (and a couple of very irritating mosquitoes and hungry flies), and ending with us shagged out from the 7 pieces benji chionged us through x_x i feel old mann, feeling tired from playing for 3hrs straight after taking a break from band for a full mth =x time to get back to practising again~~

haircut on thurs! it wasnt a disaster, but i kinda miss my long hair a lot :( BUT im also getting used to my new short hair now (he cut a bob for me), and yeah i thk its not tt bad going back to having short hair again. haha :) at least my hair dries much more quickly after i bathe, and i dun nid to blow dry so much of it :D yeah save electricity, save money! woots!

bday celebration for jarvis on fri! haha i swear tt bday cake was lethal. its totally chocolate-gao can!! lols. but its nice lah. love the crispy layer! XD clubbed a bit after tt at rebel, and left kinda early cos music got bit boring =x headed to mac for nuggets and fries, where chan claimed i cldnt even hold my nugget steady >=( im sure i did lor~~ haha :P

WMC (stands for "world music contest", aka "holland trip") audition on sat, followed by lihua's bday meal at jp. audition was a lil stressful, but im glad its over and my holland trip's more or less cfmed, and buffet lunch was great cos i was so damn hungry :D hahah yeah wad else do u expect from me huh :P love it when company and food are both great! XD

2 sessions of jamming on sunday, and i was totally shagged out x_x gonna have 2wks' break for now though cos emerson's gotta study hard for his papers. jiayou!! haha. hopefully everything'll pick up again after the 2 wks ;) *they better do.*

anddddd i still havent found a job, have no income, and am continuing to otaku myslf until i get more cash coming in. sad life but, wad to do? :( mom brought home classifieds from her office today so hopefully i'll be able to find some hope from der. went to swim with ahbond (and non-existent lance) this morning before it rained, and she suggested i cld try helping out at child care centres or kindgergartens since i like children so much (the angmoh toddler we saw today was really SUPER CUTE!!! he smile got 4 small front teeth one!! XD) but gotta see if i can get tt kinda job lah, cos apparently i'll need some cert for tt, according to my mom. shall see how den :)

alrights. mini update done, and im back to my gossip girl episodes :) the show totally rocks!! XD


two bad things today:

1. my ipod konked out on me and suddenly had half its songlist cut off apparently becos of "insufficient disk space" -.- i mean, i didnt even add any songs these few days and its been fine with the no. of songs, except for this morning when i connected it to my laptop, and it started screwing up. and now i cant even add back all of the lost songs back, cos der's "not enuff disk space". wth???

p/s this is a sign i need a new mp3 player with more disk space >=( sponsors anyone? :D ha just kidding.

2. overoptimism. this morning i thought the tenant was out, so i prac-ed my songs for the 1st time in 2 wks (=x), singing them out loud and clear in the living room thinking nobody in the world wld ever hear me. went out to meet jie and andre for lunch, and came back, only to realise the tenant WAS in, cos the room door was opened when i returned (tgt with some other forms of evidence tt he was in) =| i. am. so. damn. MALU-ATED!!! X( i haf NO IDEA how im gonna face the tenant in future. i am gonna avoid him at all costs from now on >=(

jie and andre came over for dvd marathon today! :D haha its been real long since i had this, so its good :)) anyhoo, we watched gossip girls and i'd say its quite an interesting show! hahah yeah with all the bitching ard and XOXO-s, it did keep us hooked onto the tv (and subsequently laptop screen cos my mom came back and we gave her the room back) for a full 7hrs. not bad huh. haha now im tempted to stream it online and keep watching :P damn im really SOOOO hooked onto tv shows and movies nowadays =/

nvtheless, its been a great stay-home-tuesday. just wad i wanted :) everyday go out will also tired one leh.. and it makes me more broke too :( best thing is, i only spent a total of $6.20 today!!!!! its such an achievement mann. im proud of myslf :))) ok i shall otaku myslf more this hols kekeke..

anw, im finally gonna have money rolling in :D well its just 3 days and a total of 9 very short hrs of promoting listerine (yes i know im always promoting weird stuff).. but its better than nth lah huh? :) i just hope i'll get to keep more of the pay when it does come in =/ still looking for job! yes its been a whole day out, im tired, but i dont think i'll slp well with all these thoughts reverberating in my mind.

i just suddenly feel so overwhelmed by everything thats happening. (dont worry, nth happened to me.) it really, really sucks to be so broke and to fret over money matters. it really does. why the hell are ppl my age fretting over money matters???? shldnt this be the prime of our lives or sth?? :( times have really changed, and not in our favour apparently.

i didnt buy anything during shopping today, and im thankful for that. cant believe how much im spending these few days, and i cant believe der're still so many bdays comin up and paying for presents are inevitable. dont get me wrong though. i dont hate getting ppl bday presents. i just hate the general "financial expenditure" im facing. am alr so damn broke, and der're still so many things waiting for me to pay and settle.

i've nv wanted to get a job so much in my life. i wld love to work full-time but my commitments arent really allowing me to do so. 2mths+ of 9-5 work and 3 band pracs every wk is not sth i'll look fwd to. plus tt'll also mean i wont have time in the day to prac my songs for my upcoming gigs and stuff, and i wont want tt to happen. yeah so a full-time job is kinda out... part-time? :( it isnt as easy to find as it seems. my frens reckoned the job offer i got was a scam and advised me against it. intuition tells me its too gd to be true too, and fishy in many aspects. maybe i reli shldnt go for it.. which means im back to square one and gotta search all over again :(

its horrible how all these are piecing up tgt. my savings arent even near to half of wad i need for holland trip (which i have no idea as to whether its still on), i cant find a job, and im still going out tmr to shop for 3 presents [WHY is everyone turning 21..] and on fri again to shop for another present. :( not to mention, I HAVEN PAY FINISH MY FLUTE DEBT. and (damn) i still need to eat everyday. i cant believe i still went to kbox just now, and am contemplating clubbing these few wks. kbox invitation on sunday... i thk i'll give it a miss :( and maybe i shldnt club nxt wk too... :((

i hate it when im restricted and cant do wad i want. i so so SO hate being poor u know??

:( i just wish der's someone now whom i can scream everything to. someone whom i'll feel secure enough to take off wadever shield im holding up, and scream all my thoughts out to. the build up can be really frustrating at times...

... and jie was telling us how she cant ever stand a regular 9-5 job and wld rather have irregular shifts. i guess its the opposite for me. i'll really prefer a regular work time cos it somehow makes me feel more secure. ha i dont know. i think im just a very insecure person and am completely security-seeking. is tt typical of females? or is it just me =x ok i thk its just me.

this really sucks. MONEY IS THE ROOT OF ALL EVIL. if der wasnt this problem, the 3 of us wldnt be sitting at macdonald's grumbling over money matters at 1am. we wld all be so much happier, without anyone having to leave earlier to catch last buses/trains, and wld be chatting and catching up happily at the restaurant instead. we wld've clubbed long ago, and wouldnt have to confine ourselves at home for days just to save money. we wldnt need to save the night's dinner for breakfast (lol), and i wldnt be "insomnic" and typing this. life would be so. much. better.

but it isnt.

i guess i mentioned this many times, but im gonna say it again. im gonna make myself SO rich next time i'll be able to drown myself in banknotes if i wanted to! i dont ever want any of my family members to go thru wadever we're going thru now cos it REALLY SUCKS. many ppl wldnt understand this, becos they're not going thru it. perhaps to them, its just "another phase in life u'll get thru". but to us.. haa i dun even know how to describe it.

ok. i guess i shld TRY to slp. its rainy. its gd weather. shld be able to fall aslp soon. heh. just gotta wish i'll get a job soon and have cash start flowing in and alleviate all the problems, and for more self-discipline in controlling my own spendings. no more entertainment, no more expensive food, buy cheaper presents, eat less, just go band, just go jam, slp, watch tv at home, be contented with what u have. and be glad i at least have a tv and laptop :)

have been telling myself (and practically everyone else) that i wanna get a new jacket/cardigan/windbreaker since like... post-j2??? heh =x but YAYYY i finally got one!!! XD XD lols. i love west coast plaza for its nike factory store outlet where i got my HOT PINK jacket! :D peiwen claims im turning into a bimbo (like her :P) but ehh the pink reli damn nice! same shade as my bright pink bag so i thk u cant see the bag if i wear the jacket and carry the bag with it =x the art of camouflage~~ hahaha. but the jacket seems to be REALLY warm so prolly not wearing it so often bah.. =x *ok maybe it was a bit impulse... but i really like it!!* ahh heck. singapore will definitely be cold someday :D

watching ch 5's x-men: the last stand and catwoman on 2 consecutive days was WOOOO nice! XD i duno why i sudd lurrrveee tv so much, but yeah i reli enjoy watching it. even if its vry bland news talking abt swine flu for 15mins straight, its ok. it's TV. >=( ahaha. im getting really addicted to "hero" shows mann. cant wait for spiderman!!! XD

anyhoo, met up with karen and jingxiu today (siping not der :(( )!! :D so happy to see them! haha its been like soooo long since we met. and its gonna be REAL long before i see them again after 8th may :(((( im gonna miss u girls so much!!! pls stay really really safe in the US ok?? hopefully all the stuff for the trip will be settled soon so u can enjoy everything properly :) dont worry yah! everything will be fine :)

had dinner at bakerzin after tt and finally tried my bratwurst aglio olio! :D but its SUPER SPICY laa. think its the sauce or sth.. i nearly breathed fire loh -.- ohwells. at least i tried it haha. shall stick to normal aglio olio in future :))

hmm ok actually doesnt seem like a lot. but i think the whole month of exam-confinement has reli lowered my BMR to such an extent i feel tired easily so its time to switch it back to my normal mode! haha. serious loh. after wed's shopping my body was like aching here and der when i got up on thurs =x ahhhhhhh 我老了!!!!
