mooncake festival celebration at wan ting's place in the evening! :) damn long nv gather with my aemi ppl also~~ and our dinner was super filling! wei jie made this lasagne-like dish that he learned while he was in canada for exchange, and it tasted damn good!! haha. although its mainly a baked japalang of mashed potato and hotdogs with melted cheese on top, it was really appetizing. must get recipe from him next time! lols. ordered pizza and drumlets too, and bought a box of mooncakes. and der was also this extra brownie cake that our chef-of-the-day made to celebrate kah hui's bday in advance. damn funny cos when we sang the bday song, we're like "happy birthday to...... who ar?? *all look ard to each other for ans*" LOL. no one knew whose bday was being celebrated! turns out it was kah hui, but didnt expect that cos his bday is like 1.5 mths away!! hahahaha. super advance celeb cannn.. lols. but nvtheless, enjoyed and gotten fat from the brownie cake + ice cream topping (i swear its a very sinful night), watched the first part of f1 rocks concert with them, and left for home, just in time for my online proj discussion. sad tt i gotta leave so early! :(( really very long den get to meet up with them, and a concert is definitely much more enjoyable when u watch with a whole bunch of ppl!! lol. ohwells. at least i enjoyed the evening with them! :))

dad drove me back, and stopped by weijie's place to get kbox voucher from her for our session tmr! :D yes k-ing twice in a row cos everyone's vouchers are expiringgg haha. looking fwd to tmr tooo!! XD

F1 fever again!!!!

this time last year, i was sulking cos i had to abandon the tv and go for a project meeting at 10pm at jp :(((( yes i'll always rmbr tt everytime i watch F1 haha. but this year, i'll get to stay home and watch the whole thing!! wooots!!! XD

the sounds are so nostalgic and thrilling it makes me wanna catch F1 live. i hope i win 4D next year so i can get F1 tix and witness the race in person!! XD

totally exciting. back to my tv!!


finally had time to go for an evening jog! once again, its been another 3 mths since i last ran so, believe me, its an achievement~ haha :P feel so in the pink of health now with my face flushed naturally red! have always loved the after exercising feeling, but i guess im just too much of a lazy bum to commit to it >.<

and it was jogging at west coast park on this sunday evening tt made me realise how long i havent "appreciated" the park nearest to my hse. its really quite beautiful u know? haha. der may be practically nth der if u compare to others, but its really nice to see families having picnic on the big grass area, kids playing some softball-like game (im really bad with sports), ppl flying kites, children learning how to rollerblade (they win me hands down :( ), and the many other joggers who are just part of the wcp scene at tt point of time. even the sky looked so nice! and i guess that was the best thing abt my jog today :)) i havent seen any piece of beautiful sky ever since the plane departed amsterdam 1 month ago! X( haha. i love evening jogs! :D

hopefully i'll have more evenings free during recess wk so i can jog more. yes before all my fats become permanent residents.. >=( lol.

read karen's blog just now, and i'd say i gotta agree with her on many areas! having a break finally is really nice, but it just seems weird cos suddenly, we have no (immediate) deadlines to meet and no readings to desperately catch up on. life had been moving at sucha horribly fast pace in the 1st mth of sch tt it feels quite impossible tt so many things can happen =/ but anw, since karen's tagboard is down, i'll just "tag" her here instead :P

karen: its so nice to know it'll be us that make u miss sch so much in future! :)) u and the rest of the girls totally make my uni days rock too. i cant imagine surviving the stress from psy without all of u by my side buffering the workload and professors away! hahaha :P but we really gotta cherish this break cos the projects will be attacking us very soon again.. :( jiayou for psy!! XD

like i've already complained to a few, today's stats paper was EFFFFING DIFFICULT and i swear its been real long since i did a paper until i was soooo pissed >=( it really felt like i've wasted my time studying for stats cos it didnt really help. and that paper fried our brains and demoralised us so much that it kinda affected our next paper which was immediately after :(( horrible, horrible midterms. taking 2 papers consecutively is really a killer. i hope this doesnt ever happen again.

that said, midterms ARE over, so we shld rejoice! :D at least for a while laa haha :P

ok updates updates! been wanting to blog, but circumstances didnt really allow :( so besides all the nv-ending projects and meetings and studying i've been stuck in, there were the music and friends who helped buffer all those negative effects of stress away~~

its a whole new world for me in NIE band after that transfer. i kinda dont like it...? =/ except for the possibility that its a sign i might get higher grades for this module, everything else sucks cos the point of me joining NIE band is so i can slack behind and not be stressed over high notes and sight reading (i have enough of tt in ntu band..) and i really wanna sit and crap with the ppl im more shou2 with, like ting ma and tuba ppl etc. :( sianzz.

new flute section in ntu seems to be more bonded now! :D glad tt we're able to click well with the freshies :)) cant wait for more section lunch/dinners with them for more bonding!! XD haha. and im more motivated to practise my flute cos the freshies are ALL. SO. ZAI. left side one 8th grader, right side another 8th grader. behind got one stupid senior (:P) considering diploma, and another 2 with superb sight reading/intonation =x hurrrr. i better buck up.. >.<

managed to meet up with weijie and peiwen in the midst of everything! :D reeeaally glad we met up cos i havent seen both of them for super long!! so nice to talk to besties again :))

and of cos, bf therapy :))) 4 mths passed so quickly! and especially more so when we're both in uni. time fliessssss~~ but anw, had our dinner at vivo marche and sat at the outdoors area after tt to chill. and tt was where we saw this super cute doormouse!! XD it really can qualify as a pet u know :P and after a while, we realised der's not just one but a family of about 5!! =x a bit .. to see so many (and im sure der're a lot more) but, at least they're not kar chuas?? :D i'd rather see 10 mice than one kar chua :)




hmm i realised, there's really nth much going on in my life besides SCHOOL taking up a huge part and music and impt ppl. kinda no life hor? :( and can i emphasise tt i miss jamming a lot??? peiwen faster jam amaranth!!! I CANT WAIT! need to sing out loud and not like a mouse at home, afraid of neighbours hearing me =x cant wait to jam new songs with OMS too! XD

busy busy day today!

supposed to be "spring cleaning" the house the whole day but my schedule got a little messed up so, only in the evening cos der was jamming in the noon =x anyways, finally a better jam i guess? haha. better den repeating the 5 old songs... enjoyed singing today! :D its still a very gd outlet for destressing after all the projects and tutorials in sch :)

went for a short meal at botak jones after tt, and back home to help with the spring cleaning. hurr. i swear.... my hse has A LOT of things. ok fine. I haf a lot of things =/ actually threw out 2 big bags of old clothes which i dont even rmbr having and dont wear or outgrew. lotsa dust flying ard while we cleaned the cupboards and corners etc. still sneezing now =x thk i breathed in too much dust just now haha. but im really glad my wardrobe's CLEARED now! looks brand new and neat :D lets just hope this lasts past the 2 weeks my dear bandmates claim were the expiry date for my neat room :D

anw, attended ahdear's DnD ytd! :D coincidentally its at this hotel near backbeats studios, so tt road wasnt foreign to me :P but haix i stupidly spend 40bucks on cab fare ytd... RAHHH!! anw, headed back home after kbox, and saw this weird woman who kept zi pai-ing on the bus! =S when i boarded, i saw her took a photo of herself and im like ...okayyyy its fine to love urself.. took the seat in front of her and throughout the entire journey, she just kept zi pai-ing herself (the camera sounds were a little annoying) like every 5 secs or so. for the 2 stops that i took from mrt to home, think she took about at least 30 photos loh! omgg. its ok to camwhore, but excessive camwhore-ing in crowded public places is just... yuck. sorry if i sound mean/evil/dicriminating. it was really.... *shudders* lol.

well anw i gotta get back to studying. been focusing on hp403 proj so much recently that im kinda neglecting stats and hp307 =x rahhh gotta finish catching up before i can revise!! >.<

yay congrats to me for successfully finishing my sample coding!! XD reading through excerpts of 75 blog entries and categorizing them is really rather draining.. x_x glad im finally done with it! :D

that said, reading through what 75 other ppl blogged about was "enlightening" in its own sense. some of them described experiences which i can totally relate to, while others talked about events u probably wont think of. of cos, there're the "still others" who give irritating impressions to readers *ahem* just within the first 100 words of their entry but, lets not dwell on them. we shld focus more on the majority of positive ones, which were really quite a good read :)

ok. random thoughts again.

- enjoyed the evening a lot! :) wished we had more time though~~ haha.

- im feeling very very happy wearing the new 冒牌 paul frank home-shorts that i bought from this random stall downstairs :D there's pink, blue, and black. am wearing the baby blue one now and somehow, it just "induces" this happy feeling in me! hahaha. i love my new shorts :D (yeah i know some may be bothered that its not GENUINE paul frank but eh, heck lah. wear at home who see???)

- seeing vye rern and gare rern sit side-by-side during dinner today was... quite cute. :P hahaha. common question for me is "if they stand together, will u be able to tell vr apart from his twin??" ---> yes i can. they look so different! lols. BUT..

- the small boy sitting at the table next to ours was even more cute!!!! i rmbr internally-"awwww"ing at how he ate a small piece of watermelon in the cutest manner ever, and continued to attempt consuming the green part of the slice until his mother took it away. haha XD and how he threw tiny tantrums for not being offered food and when his mom put the food in front of him, he was still "angry" and rejecting, but his mouth was opened and wanted to welcome the food. lols. this is real life id and superego conflict mann :P but seriously, he's super, super cute!! feel like kidnapping him bring home play few days hahaha :P he's korean, btw.


haha ok so its been quite a pleasant day after u minus off the project part. read gina's blog this morning and der was this part on her horoscope saying, she'll be planning out the weekend, and then realise that her schedule revolves all around work. it was true for her, and coincidentally for me too! haha. sad that we gotta work even on weekends, either from home - like us poor students :( - or directly at the office - like poor emerson. haix *pats*. ohwells. c'est la vie! (french for "that's life!" learned during europe trip :D) good thing i still have music and my dearest ppl around me to help me pull through. cant imagine working 24/7 without tiny breaks with them! X(

oughta be coding the samples for my proj now but its so... ok im just procrastinating. just suddenly feel like blogging down all the random thoughts in my head! haha.

we've designated next weekend -OH SHIT GOT JAMMING. nvm i'll resolve tt later- to have this major spring cleaning of our house becos its becoming more and more like a pig sty with disorganized stuff everywhere, from the bathroom to the wardrobes and to theliving room =S old clothes tt're taking up way too much space in the wardrobe, unused bottles of body wash which ppl gave for various occasions and which are taking up unnecessary space on the bathroom shelf, shoes which nobody wears anymore and are just there..... oh my. i think u can imagine what my hse is like already =/ and did u know, living in a cluttered home is a stressor itself? ha. yes i definitely need to clear off as many stressors as possible.

cant wait to de-clutter my living quarters this weekend. although its gonna take me lotsa effort clearing out my wardrobes and cleaning out the entire room, at least i'll be happier even walking into it and seeing it organized and neat again. it'll be all worth it! :D

alright. so a messy house is a bad thing. having a breakout is another!! >.< rahh. as if my skin isnt bad enough. i hope they all subside soonnnn :( haix. stress gives u pimples which makes u stress and which gives u pimples.... vicious cycle >=(

another load off my shoulder when i finally managed to return monster her money and cleared off more of my flute debt to anneson. he replied "ok. thanks for making me feel slightly richer" haha. but since when has he been any less than rich huh? lol.

and in less than 4 hrs, i'll be having my first dinner with bf and his family! its a little scary haha. just hope i wont give a bad impression.. =x

one week has passed! AGAIN. sheesh. time really flies nowadays huh??

anyhoo, its been quite a stressful wk again. mainly cos of preparing bf's bday cake (haha :P) and the stupid hp403 project. seriously ar, churning out an almost-full research article in 2wks is no joke!! >=( and this is only proj 1... sobss :((

went to homeclub on thurs to support Quarter to Five at their gig! :D really great gig guys!! i enjoyed the performances a lot :) maybe its like some "summary" of the previous bands cos of the repeated songs but, i really prefer q25's renditions of those songs! XD wahahaha. loyal fan u have here~~~ ;)

and now, i cant wait to jam. i really hope OMS will get the FEEL back again! its been missing for quite some time, and im sure that once we get tt back, jamming'll be very fun again :) jiayou jiayou!!

and speaking of jamming which reminds me of singing, i've narrowed down a few songs which i might sing for gv17's test, but im definitely not even close to "perfecting" them =x dont even have time to practise recently... hurr. to think my timetable's one of the slackest around. the irony huh? -.-

which also brings me back to my main focus for the entire week :) yes! the loooooooong process of baking!!

many thanks to peiwen-san for being the first forced-volunteer to sacrifice her kitchen and oven for me to test-run my cupcake baking! :] this was a day of total observational learning and on-the-job training for me *omg the application of psy is really quite scary sometimes*, but it really helped me get a feel of how the process of making cupcakes is like! :D wahahah. domo arigatou gozaimasu peiwen!!!

and of cos, to disgusting-alien-marie-zheng-mei-ting-ma (wow ur names can be combined like tt!! hahaha. marie and yiting laa :D) for lending me ur kitchen and guiding me on baking during the "actual day"! :D what will i do without ur hse, ur OVEN, ur equipment, and ur experience??? *gan dong face* lols. yeah. they're major contributors to bf's present too haha.

oh and i mustnt forget! the very important MOM who helped me dye the fondant. wldnt have finished them on time without her... :) thank you mummy!!

lotsa ppl flying kites at marina barrage! makes me wanna fly kite too~~ but it seems so hard =x there was this grp of indians who tried to fly their canvas kite (according to vr, need a lot of skill one) and failed for so many times tt they eventually gave up lols. i hope tts just an exceptional situation to kite-flying! >.<


its a long, long kite made up of 30 mini-kites! this one good. no matter what still will fly one. low wind, tangle or multi-tangle still can fly. *thumbs up*


a very cute boy whom we saw today! XD ok lah actually his friend was cuter. must look at the way they run! hahaha. anw, this boy was returning the red ball to the grp of ppl der, by throwing, throwing, kicking, and kicking again lols. uber cute! XD

ok i shall turn in early. gonna have dinner buffets at the SAME RESTAURANT for 2 consecutive days starting from tmr =/ plus the weekly suppers i've been having.... ok. its time to exercise again. lols. but first, gdnite! :)
